Iceland’s Most REMOTE Destination! Chasing the Midnight Sun in the WESTFJORDS & KIRKJUFELL
The adventure continues as we head into Iceland’s most remote region – the Westfjords! After a long journey, we arrive at 11:30 PM, and it’s still daylight – the magic of the Midnight Sun in full effect! Our Airbnb is hidden deep within a fjord, making for an unforgettable overnight stay.
The next morning, we set out to explore this wild, untouched landscape, encountering adorable puffins, picturesque Icelandic churches, and the jaw-dropping Dynjandi Waterfall – one of Iceland’s most impressive cascades.
Leaving the Westfjords behind, we journey to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, where we drive along a sword-shaped road and finally experience our first sunny day of the trip! The highlight being the world-famous Kirkjufell, one of Iceland’s most photographed mountains.
