The Final Stretch of Iceland’s RING ROAD! Glacier Lagoon, Whale Watching & Epic Coastlines!

After two weeks of driving Iceland’s legendary Ring Road, our adventure is coming to an end – but not before witnessing some of the country’s most jaw-dropping landscapes yet!

We kick off the day at Fjaðrárgljúfur and Múlagljúfur Canyon, two dramatic, winding gorges that feel straight out of a fantasy film. From there, we continue to the mesmerising Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, where massive icebergs drift from Jökulsárlón and wash up onto the black sand, creating an otherworldly sight.

As we venture into the Eastfjords, the coastline unfolds into rugged beauty, leading us toward Dettifoss, the most powerful waterfall in all of Europe, and Godafoss, the legendary “Waterfall of the Gods.” Reaching the north, we arrive in Árskógssandur, and I finally tick off a bucket list moment – seeing my first-ever humpback whale!

With one final stop in Akureyri, Iceland’s charming northern city, we then make the long drive back to Reykjavík, officially completing our two-week journey around the Ring Road!

From glaciers and canyons to waterfalls and wildlife, this final episode is one last epic showcase of Iceland’s unmatched beauty. What a journey it has been!
