The GRAND FINALE! Exploring WASHINGTON’S National Parks, Seattle & The End of Our MAGICAL Road Trip!
It’s the final stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway road trip, and we’ve officially made it to our last state – Washington!
We start by visiting Long Beach, where we drive our car onto the beach itself and reach the official end of the PCH. From there, it’s into the depths of Olympic National Park. This is a place filled with misty forests, mountain ridges and elk sightings. We hike through the Hoh Rainforest and take on Hurricane Ridge, where the views are unreal, and I even spot my first-ever chipmunk (finally).
Then it’s time for Seattle, and with only 24 hours, we go all in. From the legendary Pike Place Market and the strange-but-iconic gum wall, to catching Mt. Rainier rising behind the skyline on a boat tour, this city knows how to impress. We also check out the first-ever Starbucks and wrap up the day with city views from the top of the Space Needle.
The next morning, the weather dramatically turns as we visit Mt. Rainier National Park in full autumn mode. Fog, rain, and a moody forest trail up to Myrtle Falls mark the perfect way to say goodbye to this unforgettable trip.
What an adventure. From LA to Seattle – the West Coast, you’ve been magical.
