Goodbye, Sicily! Today, we embark on our next adventure by taking an overnight ferry from Palermo to Naples. This journey was 11 hours but well worth it for the sunrise welcoming us to the Amalfi Coast.

I have now said goodbye to Catania but before I reach Palermo, I spent the day in the historic port town of Messina! This city has suffered from plagues and earthquakes but it still continues to thrive and offers the opportunity to see mainland Italy from the Sicilian coast. Enjoy! 😀
