The old 90’s run of PPV’s return and this time it comes with irony and NXT!
NXT Takeover: In Your House is the first ‘In Your House’ event since St Valentine’s Massacre in 1999 and the only way to watch is from right inside your home.
Which should be the only place you are while you read these predictions. It is wild out there folks!
And this show may be wilder, so sit back, turn the kettle on, grab yourself a chocolate bar and let the predicting begin:
NXT North American Championship: Keith Lee (c) vs Johnny Gargano
This would be a great match to get the crowd fired up… Dammit!
Anyways, this is certainly one of the most exciting matches to happen on this incredible card and the match will no doubt perform to exceptional levels!
Keith Lee is one of the best NXT raised superstars and is definitely heading towards big things in the future.
Johnny Gargano’s new heel persona with wife, Candice LeRae has been the shakeup the couple have been needing. Gargano was such a babyface and now that he is fighting the babyface that has took his place, he definitely has the heat to make him now, one of the biggest heels on the brand.
That character was furthered on the recent NXT with carkeys to the NXT North American Champion’s eyes!
This match could go either way but I’m thinking they should capitalise on this bad guy character for Gargano. He can dine with Candice and his sweet, sweet title until it is time to be cheered by the fans again and the long awaited return of ‘Rebel’ Heart’!
Keith Lee’s NXT future must be heading in the direction of the NXT Championship. The big guy has limitless potential in store.

Mia Yim, Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart vs Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai & Raquel GonzƔlez
The most recent match to be added to the ‘In Your House’ card is the six women tag team match of team Mia Yim vs team Candice LeRae.
Candice LeRae turned heel earlier with previously mentioned husband, Johnny Gargano, to totally revamp her character. This has freshened up feuds in the NXT Women’s division with many faces lined up to take on LeRae.
Dakota Kai and her bodyguard, Raquel Gonzalez are still fighting Tegan Nox too. Then there is Shotzi Blackheart: A women with charisma. She is just waiting to blow her tank and become a huge deal in the division.
I do think it will be a lucky night for Gargano, however, the dinner might still be awkward as I am predicting Candice’s team will suffer the loss here.
Prediction: Yim, Nox & Blackheart
Finn Balor vs Damian Priest
It was revealed that Damian Priest was the secret attacker of Finn Balor. This was underwhelming in my opinion but I’m not the biggest fan of Priest. I understand they are trying to push him in the main event scene but the attacker of Balor could have been slightly more shocking. Anyways, with all that being said this match should still be a fun one with the nightstick more than likely making an appearance during a blinded ref spot.
I do think Balor will win here cause this feud was only formed because WALTER can’t continue his rivalry with the Prince due to the world’s travel bans.
Prediction: Finn Balor
NXT Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) vs Rhea Ripley vs Io Shirai
Charlotte appearing on all brands is something we hoped didn’t happen in the year 2020 but here we are.
Anyways, she is defending her black and gold Women’s championship against former champ, Rhea Ripley and the Japanese warrior, Io Shirai.
This match will take us beyond boundaries and will certainly be a brutal delivery of female wrestling. They are the three best female wrestlers on the roster and the win can go to any of them!
I will be picking Charlotte as I think she may still have one or two Takeovers in her and I’d rather her face new opponents on NXT than having a rivalry with RAW or SmackDown women’s champion, Asuka or Bayley.
Only wish I have is actually convey her like a heel. She definitely is a heel. We all love to hate her. She sneak attacks and cheats. There is no way she is a face, WWE! Also, keep her on NXT rather than moving her around. That is the way to value Wednesday Night’s.
Prediction: Charlotte Flair
Tommaso Ciampa vs Karrion Kross
Karrion Kross has his first Takeover match (out of many) against Tommaso Ciampa tonight and this match is going to be a killer!
Ciampa has been the big baddie on NXT for years and now that he has had a change in heart, Karrion Kross is the new psychopath in town. Along with his wife, Scarlett Bordeaux, he is certainly going to be one of the main eventers on NXT once Ciampa, Cole and Dream make their way to the main roster. Like Kross says “Tick Tock”.
Kross must win here to show that doomsday has arrived. He has the thrills. He has the fear. He has a great entrance – which would be a masterpiece without Scarlett’s awful lip syncing. Karrion Kross’s fate on NXT is going to be golden. The only way is up from here. Overall, I can’t wait for this match!

NXT Championship – Backlot Brawl: Adam Cole (c) vs Velveteen Dream
In the latest edition of WWE’s creative movie during Coronavirus, Adam Cole will defend his NXT Championship against the Velveteen Dream in a ‘Backlot Brawl’.
I’m guessing this match will be filmed quite similarly to the Gargano vs Ciampa match and maybe mixed with components from the Boneyard match. It will be in an eery car park, where cars surround the ring using their headlights to give a dusty aura to the match. Where will it rank in the many movie-style matches we have had this year?
Dream is an awesome athlete and character but I can’t see him becoming NXT Champion. I actually think he will be moving to the main roster at least after Summerslam. Adam Cole has had the title for over a year and I now believe the only guy credible enough to take the strap of him would be the ‘Limitless’ Keith Lee.
The way this match will go down, I predict the weird Dexter Lumis to turn heel and start a feud with Dream. He has just randomly been involved in this rivalry and even though he has stated he will keep the Undisputed Era at bay, he will more than likely be involved in the ending of this sequence. His gimmick just screams “Heel” to me and a rivlary with Dream will be one of the most unusual feuds to happen on the atheltic wrestling show known as NXT.
Prediction: Adam Cole
I honestly cannot wait for this show! NXT are notable for short but fantastic Takeover events – I can’t think of one I disliked and this one can’t be any different.
It will be the first no live fans in attendance Takeover, due to the Tampa one being cancelled but they have been sincerely missed and this show will just have fans yelling “NXT” at the top of their lungs in their house!
