An American in the SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS! (Her First Impressions)
Welcome back to mine and Victoria’s adventure around my beautiful home country of Scotland. In this vlog, you’ll get to see my American friend experience the Scottish Highlands for the very first time.
We kick things off at Loch Lomond & The Trossachs, where this LA gal gets a very real introduction to Scotland as we hike to the top of Ben A’an in full rain, wind, and classic Scottish chaos. From there, we slow things down slightly with a visit to the atmospheric Kilchurn Castle, soaking up the moody beauty of one of Scotland’s most iconic lochside ruins.
Next, we head north into the heart of the Highlands. Victoria finally sees the legendary Jacobite Steam Train at Glenfinnan – yes, the Harry Potter one – before we dive into the dramatic landscapes of Glencoe, where the mountains should do most of the talking. But it is us, we’re talking about…
Along the way, I put her Scottish vocabulary to the test, proving that understanding the Highlands is one thing, but understanding the language is another challenge entirely. We finish the week back in Edinburgh for one final wander before Victoria jets back to the States… until the dynamic duo reunites again.
See you later!
