WWE head to Saudi Arabia… again. First time this decade though!
Usually, these shows are spectacles of our imagination. WrestleMania calibre showcases – even though it is only a month before WrestleMania.
People get paid lots and lots of money. Boxers like Tyson Fury make their in-ring debut. Goldberg, Undertaker and Brock Lesnar will most likely fight.
Most times you won’t see a single women’s match, however, Lacey Evans vs Natalya must have convinced the Saudi Prince to agree with Women’s rights. I hope.
Anyways, let’s begin predicting Super ShowDown:
WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs Ricochet

Brock Lesnar, the Beast Incarnate, multi-time WWE Champion of the World, and the master of Suplex City will be defending his title against Royal Rumble 2020 winner, Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36… Oh wait. We’re not on that match yet?
Honestly, WWE have made it impossible to care about Brock Lesnar vs Ricochet. They have guaranteed our brains to believe Ricochet doesn’t stand a chance. On this week’s RAW, they had back-to-back segments and never even got into a fight. They haven’t encountered each other since the the triple threat match. Boohoo.
I do think the match will be fun. Brock vs smaller opponents are always fast-paced and different to normal Lesnar matches – look at his fight with Finn Balor last year.
However, there is no way we can predict against the WWE Champion. Brock Lesnar vs Drew McIntyre is where the money is.
Prediction: Brock Lesnar
SmackDown Tag Team Championship: New Day (c) vs Miz & Morrison

The Dirt-Sheets are back and that is no make-believe.
The Miz & John Morrison vs The New Day will be a fun, flippy match which could go any way.
New Day, kind of set up a match with the Uso’s, last week on SmackDown, but is that a red herring to swerve us?
I think so. I am predicting Miz & Morrison with their match against the Uso’s being the ‘Mania feud over the blue straps.
Prediction: Miz & Morrison
Gauntlet Match for the Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy: Andrade vs AJ Styles vs Erick Rowan vs Bobby Lashley vs R-Truth vs Rey Mysterio

Will it be a Rusev Day in Riyadh? Unfortunatley, not as poor Rusev has been replaced with the master of the 619, Rey Mysterio.
Gauntlet’s are always fun with the WWE, look at Seth Rollins’ one, two years ago, or even Kofi’s multiple ones last year. Usually, if they have no idea how to build a show they just add a gauntlet match. Boom! Show filled.
This gauntlet should be no excpetion. Apart from it’s for a pointless trophy as every Saudi show has.
Greatest Royal Rumble had the beautiful green title that Braun Strowman won after outlasting 49 other men.
Crown Jewel 2018 gave us the “Best In The Woooooooorld” when Shane McMahon was victorious with the World Cup trophy.
I can’t remember a trophy being given, but Mansoor won the 50-man battle royal at last years Super ShowDown. Wait a sec… Where is Mansoor on this show?
Then at Crown Jewel 2019, Gallows & Anderson, The O.C. won the ‘Best Tag Team In The World’ trophy.
This makes me believe that AJ Styles will win this over-the-top trophy. O.C. can be draped in Saudi gold.
It is also rumoured that Styles will be facing the Undertaker at WrestleMania, so he needs something to leap from.
That is if Undertaker isn’t added to the Gauntlet to win and/or start his feud with the Phenomenal one. Or Mansoor wins because Saudi.
Prediction: AJ Styles
Angel Garza vs Humberto Carrillo

With Andrade out on suspension; but returning tonight at Super ShowDown, Angel Garza’s solo feud with his cousin, Humberto Carrillo will only remain one-on-one – one more time.
These guys can go, we seen that when they had an incredible duel on RAW. However, without Zelina Vega by his side can the Lady’s Man still pick up the victory?
I think this will be 50/50 booking by WWE, which means Garza won last time, Carrillo will probably win this time, then they can have a grudge match later down the line.
Prediction: Humberto Carrillo
Steel Cage Match: Roman Reigns vs King Corbin

Just when we thought this storyline was over… More dog food!
This is definitley the last time Roman Reigns and King Corbin lock crowns and it will end in a steel cage match. A match that WWE states: “Nobody can enter & nobody can leave.”
Yeah, we believe you.
This will most likely be a re-soldifying moment for the Big Dog.
Reigns has been in pointless, very long storylines for far too long. E.g. Drew McIntyre, Elias, Shane McMahon & Baron Corbin.
It is time for Reigns to head back into the spotlight. He will either be facing Wyatt or Goldberg at the Grandest Stage of Them All with the title being part of the rivalry still unknown.
Which means he needs the win here. No idea where the next path is for King Corbin.
Prediction: Roman Reigns
Viking Raiders vs The O.C.

I hate it when WWE add more matches after I write prediction blogs…
Viking Raiders vs Gallows & Anderson will most likely be placed on the kickoff, let’s be real. Why not Viking Raiders vs AOP? That’s where the storyline is at.
Well I guess the O.C. got crowned “Best Tag Team In The World” last time WWE went Saudi, however, I don’t think this time will be so successful.
We gotta remember this is mainly a glorified houseshow. Faces are expected to overcome the heels. Viking Raiders win.
Prediction: Viking Raiders
Mansoor vs Dolph Ziggler

It won’t be a Saudi Arabia show without Saudi’s own, Mansoor.
Honestly though, WWE should use Mansoor much more than Super ShowDown’s and Crown Jewel’s. The man is talented. He proved that against Cesaro. He will prove it again against Dolph Ziggler.
This match could quite possibly steal the show, similar to how Dolph Ziggler stole Otis’ girl.
Mansoor will get revenge for Otis and keep his Saudi Arabia streak alive.
Prediction: Mansoor
RAW Tag Team Championship: Rollins & Murphy (c) vs The Street Profits

This Monday Night Messiah storyline has been headlining RAW for the whole of 2020 hasn’t it?
Well, I don’t think this match seems like too big of a deal, it’ll be fun though as the Street Profits are insanely energetic.
Question is: Does Seth Rollins have the Saudi Prince believing in his cause?
He has AOP, Not a Buddy – Murphy and a random referee.
I am expecting Rollins & Murphy to retain the RAW Tag Team Titles here. I am unsure where they are going for the rest of this voyage to WrestleMania. Seth always gets a big headlining match but I can’t see this going anywhere apart from an 8-man tag that most likely main events RAW three or four times on the build. I’m looking forward to finding out his plans, as I’m loving this Messiah gimmick currently.
Prediction: Rollins & Murphy
SmackDown Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) vs Naomi

To everyone’s surprise, Bayley will be defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against the glowing, Naomi in Saudi Arabia of all places!
Even though they will probably be covered from head-to-toe, it is nice to see women competing on a show which originally, they would be given an all women’s PPV to apologise.
Even if you don’t want to agree with WWE’s Saudi deal, there is no doubt they are making a change in women’s rights. Hopefully, one day, there will be more than one female fight on the show.
I think Bayley will win with some sort of shenanigans and this feud will continue into Elimination Chamber and maybe even beyond.
Prediction: Bayley
Universal Championship: “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt (c) vs Goldberg

The last time Bray Wyatt went to Saudi Arabia, he walked away Universal Champion. Goldberg’s last time in Saudi was a botchfest with Undertaker in a moment every wrestling fan wants to forget.
Goldberg’s match with Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam last year proved he still has it though and now The Fiend and his Universal Championship is next.
This is a tough one to predict and I’m getting more uncertain with each passing moment.
If you asked me a few weeks ago, I’d confidently say Bray Wyatt; Fiend vs Roman Reigns seems to have been pencilled into ‘Mania’s card for a while.
However, as we have gotten closer, I can see Goldberg beating the Fiend and facing the Big Dog at the Showcase of the Immortals. Reigns isn’t shy from beating part-timers at WWE’s SuperBowl.
John Cena is also expected to make a monumental return to SmackDown tomorrow, with plans to set up his voyage to Pirate-Mania.
I can either see WrestleMania 36 being:
- Universal Championship: The Fiend vs Roman Reigns
- Universal Championship: Goldberg vs Roman Reigns
- Universal Championship The Fiend vs John Cena
- Goldberg vs Roman Reigns
- Goldberg vs John Cena
I think three & four are the best ideas.
Have The Fiend survive the Icon then Firefly FunHouse interrupts 16x Champion, John Cena tomorrow.
Goldberg then moves into a program with Roman Reigns – maybe to determine the challenger for after ‘Mania.
Wyatt vs Cena at WrestleMania just works. A few years ago Cena beat Wyatt on the Grandest Stage of Them All at the peak of his character, and it has been believed that this is the feud that derailed his momentum. Have The Fiend seek redemption.
Prediction: “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

There we go, Super Show-Down predictions are in the record-books! Will I get them all right? Very unlikely, however, let’s hope WWE entertains us with another show.
If you want to tell me your predictions, let’s chat over on Twitter or FaceBook.
I wil also be watching live as Saudi Arabia timezone means it isn’t past my bedtime.
See you all soon!
