WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 | Predictions

After the disgraceful showing of Super ShowDown, can WWE increase our excitement for WrestleMania 36 with this year’s Elimination Chamber?

It has a very predictable Elimination Chamber match, a pointless No DQ match; setting up for a larger match and a U.S. title match that we have seen more times than Eddie Guerrero’s three amigos. However, Elimination Chamber matches always prove to be fun, entertaining and a thrilling final step before the Grandest Stage of Them All.

This is my last possibility for predicting the plans going into WWE’s biggest PPV. Can I get them correct? Let’s find out:

Elimination Chamber – #1 Contender for RAW Women’s Championship – Shayna Baszler vs Asuka vs Liv Morgan vs Natalya vs Sarah Logan vs Ruby Riott

Let’s start with the most likely main event because it is actually the most predictable.

Why have the Elimination Chamber determine Becky Lynch’s challenger when it is unknown what Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship plans are? Seems like a pointless Elimination Chamber for me…

Don’t get me wrong, it’ll be fun, however, they could have used it to excel somebody into that top position instead of solidifying what we already know.

The women that took a chunk out of the Man’s neck, the Queen of Spades, Shayna Baszler is clearly going to win this and face Lynch at the Showcase of the Immortals.

You can’t even justify this match with extra feuds, because who actually cares about the Riott Squad breakup?

Prediction: Shayna Baszler

Daniel Bryan vs Drew Gulak

This is quite the interesting rivalry to build and the match was announced on SmackDown: Daniel Bryan will go one-on-one with Drew Gulak.

Gulak has been seeing to Bryan; checking if he can become him again after the devilish loss to the Fiend.

Courses in the Gulak Movement mosty include facing Heath Slater, however, at Elimination Chamber it will be against Gulak himself.

This will be a fun match, unfortunatley, I think it’ll be on the kickoff. At Bryan’s stage of his career that is very humilating, however, this company clearly doesn’t see the potential in Drew Gulak. This is his first feud since joining the blue brand!

Daniel Bryan is definitley winning this one. Yes! Yes! Yes!!!

Prediction: Daniel Bryan

RAW Tag Team Championship: Street Profits (c) vs Rollins & Murphy

Rollins & Murphy successfully defended the RAW Tag Team Titles in Saudi Arabia, which was a cracking match!

Then Street Profits got placed in a ‘Now or Never’ predicament on RAW. The Street Profits managed to nail down “Now” with the aid of Kevin Owens, however, the Messiah demanded a rematch at Elimination Chamber.

I think the Street Profits will be profitable once more, as I think Rollins vs Owens is the best matchup for WrestleMania.

The Street Profits will most likely feel the smoke with AOP on the Grandest Stage.

Prediction: Street Profits

Intercontinental Championship: Braun Strowman (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro & Sami Zayn

Silly Braun. All Braun but no Brains.

The Monster Among Men agreed to defending his Intercontinental Championship against not just Shinsuke Nakamura but also against henchman, Cesaro and spokesperson, Sami Zayn.

At least Braun doesn’t need brains for this handicap match, as his Braun will destroy Zayn’s League of Nations: (Canadian, Japanese & Swiss).

Prediction: Braun Strowman

United States Championship: Andrade (c) vs Humberto Carrillo

Andrade is back! And oh look at that – he is back to feuding with Humberto Carrillo. Big surprise…

Carrillo just always seems to lose in WWE. Rivalry with AJ Styles: big loser. Rivalry with Andrade: Has he ever won?

I also always seem to root for him and he let’s me down. So who is actually the real loser here?

Just to make it even worse, I’m going to predict Carrillo once more. Andrade has just returned from suspension and he got pinned clean by R-Truth in the gauntlet at Super ShowDown. He was also the one pinned by Humberto in the tag team match on RAW with Mysterio & Garza in their respective corners.

These two will most likely get involved, likewise with Zelina Vega. One massive Latino flop.

Which should see Humberto Carrillo become U.S. Champ in time for the Pirate-Mania. I can see a dream match between Rey Mysterio happening on the show or perhaps Dominik joins this Latino-U.S. title division.

Prediction: Humberto Carrillo

No Disqualification: AJ Styles vs Aleister Black

This match seems like one made in heaven, but it isn’t because it is just a build towards Styles vs Undertaker at WrestleMania 36. Black even suffered his first loss to further the story with the Deadman.

It’ll be fantastic, don’t get me wrong! However, I just wish this was the story here. Or Black gets more praise and involvement. Let’s hope it continues further than this pit-stop.

Seeing as this is a No DQ in WWE it could end in a No Contest. It isn’t far from impossible, but I’m going to predict Aleister Black wins due to a mighty dong.

Let’s set the situation here:

The Phenomenal One is about to pick up the win again. He is gesturing towards the Phenom, still jealous over the Tuwaiq Trophy disappointment. Then the dong hits. Undertaker’s theme plays. He doesn’t come out. Just causes a mere distraction which gives Black enough time to whack in the Black Mass and pick up the victory.

Prediction: Aleister Black

Elimination Chamber – SmackDown Tag Team Championship – Miz & Morrison (c) vs The New Day vs The Uso’s vs Heavy Machinery vs Lucha House Party vs Ziggler & Roode

Miz & Morrison where successful at Super ShowDown but that’s as far as their success has gone. They keep losing and losing, will this continue inside the hellish Elimination Chamber structure?

Then there is the New Day – the former Tag Team Champions – I can’t see them winning, which is unfortunate as Kofi Kingston was on the biggest climb of his career last year.

The Uso’s have a chance to win here. If they don’t, a match with Miz & Morrison (if they retain) will be on the cards.

Lucha House Party have no chance of winning here, but they are very talented and should be given more.

RooDolph won the Gauntlet which means they will be the last entrants in the Chamber. Does this give them the advantage? Yes. Do I think they’ll win? No.

Overall, I’ve been struggling to decide who will win this (the SmackDown Tag Division is actually decent), but I’m picking Heavy Machinery. OtisMania ran wild in the Gauntlet and himself and Tucker decimated the competition untill the closing moments.

This should happen again and then the SmackDown Tag Team Championships can be included in the incredible love-triangle story with Otis, Mandy Rose & Dolph Ziggler.

A singles match between Otis and Ziggler at ‘Mania does sound like the best bookend, but to takeaway two matches on the ‘Mania card (which will include every wrestler by the end of the show), Heavy Machinery vs Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode seems to fit perfectly.

Then Rose can find out about Sonya Deville sending that text to try and get between her & Otis due to jealousy and we can have ourselves a Fire vs Desire.

Prediction: Heavy Machinery

There we go! A very detailed analysis into tonight’s Elimination Chamber.

Let’s hope it is enjoyable and further storylines heading into WrestleMania.

Which will include star matches such as Lesnar vs McIntyre, Goldberg vs Reigns & Cena vs The Fiend.
